Blokhin agrees to extension with Ukraine

Ukraine coach Oleh Blokhin has agreed to a two-year contract extension on the eve of the Euro 2012 finals that will keep him with the team through the 2014 World Cup.

Ukraine co-hosts the Euro 2012 finals with Poland, and the 59-year-old Blokhin will try to lead his side through Group D, which also includes Sweden, France, and England.

Blokhin, a former Ballon d'Or winner, took over as Ukraine manager last year.
