Bills veteran running back Jackson ready to play and provide Buffalo much-needed boost

The Buffalo Bills could use a lift, and running back Fred Jackson believes he's capable of providing one.

The veteran offensive captain and inspirational leader is eagerly looking forward to the chance to return after missing two of the past three games with a groin injury.

Jackson on Monday said it's time for "all hands on deck" to help spark a turnaround as Buffalo (5-5) prepares to host the New York Jets (2-8) on Sunday.

It's the first in what has essentially become a season-ending stretch of must-win games for the Bills. Because of tiebreaking formulas, Buffalo ranks 12th among the AFC's 12 teams at 5-5 or better.

Buffalo is in this position after losing twice in five days, including a 22-9 loss at Miami on Thursday.
