For Czech Tomas Berdych, the title drought is over.

The third-seeded Berdych dropped the opening set against Marin Cilic in Sunday's final at the China Open, but rallied to beat the Croat 3-6, 6-4, 6-1.

Berdych, who reached his first final of 2011 after losing in six semifinals, won a tournament for the first time since capturing the Munich crown in May of 2009.

The 26-year-old and 10th-ranked Berdych evened his record in 12 career championship matches, while improving to 3-1 lifetime against Sunday's opponent.

Cilic, meanwhile, fell to 0-3 in finals this year -- he also was a runner-up in Marseille and Umag -- and dropped his seventh straight match against a Top-10 player.
