Bengals running back Giovani Bernard landed hard on his right shoulder and left in the fourth quarter with Cincinnati trailing Carolina early in the fourth quarter on Sunday.

Linebacker Luke Kuechly tackled Bernard hard on a run, landing on top of him. Bernard got up slowly and came to the sideline, where a doctor looked at his right shoulder. Bernard went to the locker room for an evaluation.

Bernard had a career-high 115 yards when he got hurt, including an 89-yard touchdown run.

Carolina lost guard Amini Silatolu to a calf injury. He got hurt in the first half, and the Panthers decided after halftime that he wouldn't return.
