Barca's Xavi out two weeks with calf injury

Barcelona midfielder Xavi will be out two weeks with a calf injury, the Spanish club announced Thursday.

The 32-year-old Xavi has played 47 games this season and scored 14 goals, but a scan revealed a "tear in his left calf" that could end his club season.

Barcelona said Xavi has had calf discomfort all season, and with the La Liga season ending the weekend of May 12-13, his league campaign could be over.

The Spanish midfielder will have to regain fitness for the Euro 2012 finals, which start in June.
