B.J. Raji has been back to his dominant ways at nose tackle for the Green Bay Packers this season. However, after Raji injured his groin against the St. Louis Rams, the Packers had to consider the possibility of moving on without him.
Green Bay can breathe a sigh of relief now that Raji has undergone an MRI. The results showed no serious damage to the injured area, according to Weston Richburg of Press-Gazette Media.
For that, Raji credits his commitment to yoga.
Raji tips the scales at 337 pounds, so it's quite unusual to see him holding such graceful positions. A few weeks ago, Packers head coach Mike McCarthy commented on how weird the big defensive tackle looks when he practices yoga, per NFL Media's Albert Breer.
It's hard to argue with Raji now. If, in fact, the exercises have improved his flexibility, the Packers have his yoga routine to thank for his availability for the remainder of the season.
