Arkansas star Portis to enter NBA Draft
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Fayetteville, AR (SportsNetwork.com) - Arkansas star forward Bobby Portis has decided to enter the NBA Draft.
Portis was the SEC Player of the Year as a sophomore this past season. He made the announcement Tuesday on his Twitter page.
"The love I have for this program is unconditional, but I've decided to forego my junior year of college to take that next step and enter into the NBA draft," Portis wrote.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Portis averaged 17.5 points and 8.9 rebounds in 36 games this past season. He helped the Razorbacks to a record of 27-9 with an appearance in the SEC title game.
Arkansas won its NCAA Tournament opener against Wofford before losing to North Carolina in the round of 32.
