Arkansas star Portis to enter NBA Draft

Fayetteville, AR (SportsNetwork.com) - Arkansas star forward Bobby Portis has decided to enter the NBA Draft.

Portis was the SEC Player of the Year as a sophomore this past season. He made the announcement Tuesday on his Twitter page.

"The love I have for this program is unconditional, but I've decided to forego my junior year of college to take that next step and enter into the NBA draft," Portis wrote.

Portis averaged 17.5 points and 8.9 rebounds in 36 games this past season. He helped the Razorbacks to a record of 27-9 with an appearance in the SEC title game.

Arkansas won its NCAA Tournament opener against Wofford before losing to North Carolina in the round of 32.
