Indianapolis, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Kentucky guard Andrew Harrison issued an apology to Wisconsin's Frank Kaminsky for using an insensitive remark into a microphone following the Badgers' 71-64 win over the previously-unbeaten Wildcats in Saturday night's Final Four.

During the post-game press conference, a reporter issued a question to Kentucky's Karl-Anthony Towns about what makes it so difficult to defend the 7-foot Kaminsky.

As Towns was answering, Harrison held his right hand over his mouth and could be heard muttering the racial slur.

"First I want to apologize for my poor choice of words used in jest towards a player I respect and know," Harrison said via Twitter. "When I realized how this could be perceived I immediately called big Frank to apologize and let him know I didn't mean any disrespect.

"We had a good conversation and I wished him good luck in the championship game Monday."

Harrison, a sophomore, had 13 points and four assists in the loss.

Wisconsin will play Duke in Monday's title game.
