Xiamen, China (SportsNetwork.com) - Amateur Ssu-Chia Cheng carded her second straight 4-under 68 on Sunday and she won the Xiamen Open by three strokes.
Cheng ended at 10-under-par 206 at Orient (Xiamen) Golf & Country Club. This was her first victory on the Ladies European Tour.
The teenager from Taiwan flew out of the gate on Sunday with three birdies in the first four holes to jump to minus-9. Cheng tripped to a bogey on the par-4 sixth.
Cheng atoned for that mistake with a birdie on the ninth. She made it two in a row with another birdie on No. 10. Cheng closed out the victory with eight straight pars.
Marion Ricordeau carded a 3-under 69 in the final round to grab second place at minus-7. American Beth Allen and Alexandra Vilatte both posted 2-under 70s on Sunday and they shared third at 6-under-par 210.
Last week's winner Xi Yu Lin (70), Liz Young (71) and Joanna Klatten (71) tied for fifth place at minus-5.
Chloe Leurquin and Connie Chen shared the lead entering the final round with Cheng, but they stumbled to 4-over 76s to slide into a share of 11th at minus-2.
