New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve and Oakland Athletics outfielder Josh Reddick have been named the American League Co-Players of the Week for the period ending May 3.

Altuve batted .467 (14-for-30) with seven runs scored, five doubles, one home run, eight RBI, and two stolen bases during the week .He finished the week tied for first in the AL in hits and doubles, tied for second in total bases (22) and runs scored, and fourth in batting average and RBI.

Reddick batted .478 (11-for-23) with eight runs scored, three home runs, 12 RBI, and one double. The Savannah, Georgia native, completed the period tied for first in RBI and runs scored, third in slugging percentage (.913), and tied for third in batting average, home runs, hits, and total bases (21).

This marks Altuve's first weekly honor and Reddick's third, last winning with the A's on Sept. 28, 2014.
