Alba completes transfer to Barcelona

Spain left back Jordi Alba completed his transfer from Valencia to Barcelona on Thursday, when he signed a five-year deal with the Spanish giants.

The 23-year-old Alba agreed to a deal to join Barcelona during Euro 2012, and after helping Spain win its third consecutive major tournament, completed his transfer. Alba scored in the Euro 2012 final, a 4-0 victory over Italy.

Barca placed a buyout clause of well over $100 million on Alba, who used to be in the club's youth system. He played with Valencia from 2008-12.
