Unfortunately for Jordan Stevenson, his college football career has gotten off to a rocky start as he failed to qualify at Wisconsin and has been granted his release from the school. While Stevenson may not get to attend his first choice of schools, he now has several excellent suitors to choose from, according to 247Sports.

Oregon State, Nebraska, Texas Tech, Alabama, Florida and Tennessee are just some of the teams currently fighting for the talented running back's services. According to the report, Tennessee, Nebraska and Oregon State are the three schools standing out to Stevenson.

Stevenson nearly chose Nebraska initially out of high school which gives the Cornhuskers an edge, while former Wisconsin coach Gary Anderson, who recruited Stevenson to the Badgers is now at Oregon State. The current running back depth at SEC schools Tennessee, Florida and Alabama make all three excellent options as well for the Dallas native.

Don't count Texas Tech out just yet either, as the Red Raiders have an edge that no other school can compete with in Stevenson's recruitment:

With fall camp beginning in the next two weeks across the nation, expect Stevenson to make a decision soon if he has any intentions of making an impact on the field for any of these teams this season.
