49ers sign LB Gooden

The San Francisco 49ers signed linebacker year deal Tuesday.

Originally selected by Baltimore in the third round of the 2008 NFL Draft, Gooden recorded 88 total tackles -- 66 on defense and 22 on special teams -- in 26 games with the Ravens.

To make room for Gooden on the roster, the team released linebacker Antwan Applewhite.
