2024-25 NBA MVP odds: Nikola Jokic favored

As the winner of the NBA's most coveted award in three of the last four seasons, Nikola Jokic will look to make history by winning four out of five.
Celtics legend Bill Russell won four out of five from 1960-61 to 1964-65, and LeBron James did the same between 2008-09 and 2012-13.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Those are the only two names to accomplish the feat in league history.
Jokic opened the season at +400 to win the award, and through a few weeks, he is top-five in the league in points, and leads the league in rebounds and assists.

Welp, Jokic is back to his old ways again.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}He's averaging 29.7 points, 13.7 rebounds and 11.7 assists, while shooting 56.3% from the field and 56.4% from beyond the arc. He's also shooting 84.3% from the line.
Furthermore, after the Nuggets won five in a row, they have lost their last two without Jokic, who has been out due to personal reasons.
Those two losses have come by an average of 11 points.
