    The ‘Ghost Fleet of Mallows Bay’ in pictures

    The “Ghost Fleet of Mallows Bay” in the Potomac River, which includes nearly 200 known vessels, has been nominated as a national marine sanctuary. The site adjacent to Charles County, Md. includes the remains of the largest “Ghost Fleet” of World War I wooden steamships built for the U.S. Emergency Fleet.
