Karlos Dansby's House
The NFL's Karlos Dansby, now playing for the Cleveland Browns, is asking $4.399 million for the South Florida mansion he bought during his time as a Miami Dolphin.
The six-bedroom house measures about 12,300 square feet, according to listing agent Giselle Bonetti of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate. In the affluent town of Southwest Ranches, about 20 miles from Fort Lauderdale, the house is located in a gated community called Landmark Ranch Estates, which is home to a number of other sports figures, Ms. Bonetti said.
According to public records, the linebacker and his wife Tynesha paid $3.4 million for the home in 2010, the year he signed a reported five-year, $43 million contract with the Dolphins, with $22 million guaranteed. Mr. Dansby was released by the Dolphins in 2013 and signed with the Browns last year.
The Dansbys renovated the home when they moved in, Ms. Bonetti said, redoing the kitchen and bathrooms and reconfiguring the master bedroom. Decorated with framed sports jerseys (including Mr. Dansby's), the house has a theater, a card room and a billiards room. The master suite has his and hers closets, each with a security code, and a custom-made bed monogrammed with a "D" for Dansby. The jerseys and furniture aren't included in the sale price, Ms. Bonetti said.
Spanning more than 2 acres, the grounds include a swimming pool and spa, a half basketball court and an outdoor kitchen with a television. A lanai has an outdoor fireplace.
