Former U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell has decamped from one of his Upper West Side condos, which recently sold for $2.8 million, according to a Luxury Listings report.

Listing agents David Waggenheim and Cynthia Besteman of Halstead Properties are being so tight-lipped about the sale you'd think national security were at stake.

However, public records say that the sold apartment was owned by the Alma J. Powell Revoc Trust -- Alma is Powell's wife -- and purchased in 2007 for $1.88 million. After a total renovation, the two-bedroom prewar unit featured a chef's kitchen with marble and walnut countertops. The sale closed for $2,815,000 on May 12.

Records also show that the couple owns another apartment in the same building under the name of Colin L. Powell Revoc Trust. The couple also owns a residence in Washington, DC, which makes perfect sense given Powell's former job.

Powell, a four-star general, served as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff before becoming the 65th U.S. secretary of state, serving under President George W. Bush from 2001 to 2005.
