Trump, Christie cancel campaign events due to Joaquin

Republican presidential candidates Donald Trump and Chris Christie have canceled campaign events on the East Coast ahead of Hurricane Joaquin.
Christie, the New Jersey governor, plans to attend a Boston event Thursday night but canceled an upcoming New Hampshire campaign stop and plans to remain in his state through Tuesday. The governor declared a state of emergency in preparation for the coming storm.
Trump also canceled a scheduled rally at the Wave Convention Center Friday evening in Virginia Beach, Va.

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe also declared a state of emergency Wednesday afternoon, allowing emergency responders to begin to prepare for the storm.
Trump said in a statement he'd been expected 10,000 to attend the event, and plans to reschedule soon.
