Rep. Bill Huizenga, R-Mich., announced his endorsement of Sen. Marco Rubio for president Tuesday, marking another in a string of congressional endorsements for the 2016 hopeful.
In a statement, Huizenga, who will also serve as Rubio's state chairman in Michigan, pointed to the presidential candidate's forward thinking on the economy and "positive vision" for the country.
"With our country at a crossroads, we need a leader who offers a positive vision to preserve the American Dream," Huizenga said. "That is why I am proud to endorse Marco Rubio for president. Marco's plan for a New American Economy will create good paying jobs here in Michigan and strengthen our nation's economy. I look forward to helping Marco win Michigan."

According to the Detroit News, Huizenga and former Rep. John Moolenaar will head up the Rubio campaign's Michigan leadership team. The announcement comes ahead of a fundraiser Rubio is set to attend in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., a suburb of Detroit. Moolenaar endorsed Rubio back in September.
