Child-welfare officials reportedly have launched an investigation of former New York Rep. Anthony Weiner after revelations that he sent a lewd picture of himself, showing his son next to him, to a sexting partner.
The New York Post reported Wednesday that the Administration for Children’s Services in New York City has launched a probe into the former politician’s care of the boy. Weiner is married to top Clinton aide Huma Abedin, who announced Monday she is separating from her husband.
A source told the Post that agency officials turned up at their apartment on Tuesday. Such visits are meant to ensure a child has a room to sleep in and is fed.
A spokesman for the agency declined to comment on the matter when reached by FoxNews.com.
The image in question, first reported by the Post on Sunday, showed Weiner lying on his bed in his underwear, with his son next to him.
The Post reported Wednesday that Weiner had referred to his son as a “chick magnet.”
