President Obama Makes Energy Announcement in Florida

President Obama makes remarks at 12:30p at DeSoto Next Generation Solar Energy Center in Arcadia, Florida.

The President will announce Recovery Act funding for "a variety of Smart Grid technologies that will modernize the nation's electricity grid, enhance reliability, promote efficiency and allow for the integration of clean, renewable energy - all while helping consumers save money," says a White House release.           
The facility officially goes online Tuesday, begining to produce power for the electric grid.
