Chris Christie and Hillary Clinton are the "hottest" politicians in the country right now, according to a new poll that takes the pulse of attitudes toward leading political figures.
The survey from Quinnipiac University is effectively a gauge of which leaders are generating the most buzz.
On the so-called "Thermometer of voter attitudes," Christie, the New Jersey Republican governor, scored the highest, at 53.1 "degrees."
Clinton, the Democrat and former secretary of State, was just a point lower, at 52.1.
Both are considered possible candidates in the 2016 presidential race, which likely contributed to their high rating.
President Obama only came in fourth on the scale, with Massachusetts Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren actually outranking him.
Republicans Sens. Ted Cruz of Texas and Marco Rubio of Florida also made the top 10.
The survey of 1,468 registered voters was taken July 28-31. It had a margin of error of 2.6 percentage points.
