Fresh off grabbing a cup o’ joe with Jerry Seinfeld and minting himself the “cool” president, President Obama plans to burnish his Internet stardom even more – sitting down after the State of the Union address for “interviews” with three YouTube celebs.
They are: Ingrid Nilsen, a 26-year-old purveyor of lifestyle videos better known as "Missglamorazzi;" Adande Thorne, a video game enthusiast known online as "sWooZie;" and Destin Sandlin, who makes educational videos.
Cronkite it’s not, but the interviews nevertheless are part of the president’s strategy to bring his policy proposals to a broader audience. According to the White House, Obama will do the live interviews this Friday, following Tuesday’s State of the Union.

The appearances are in keeping with Obama’s practice of mixing up the staid, network news sit-downs with more offbeat interviews – sometimes a little too offbeat.
Obama was criticized last year for subjecting himself to an interview with YouTube star GloZell Green, known for her green lipstick and stunts like bathing in a tub full of cereal. During the interview, Green referred to Michelle Obama as the “first wife.”
Obama also did a cringe-worthy interview with Zach Galifianakis on “Between Two Ferns.” He appeared more comfortable in his most recent online appearance, with Seinfeld on “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.”

Meanwhile, the State of the Union address itself will stream live on YouTube, giving viewers another way to watch.
The White House is also debuting a Snapchat account with behind-the-scenes images of the speech.
The social media blitz continues Obama's campaign to reach Americans who don't watch the speech through traditional channels.
