National security adviser H.R. McMaster and CIA director Mike Pompeo were among the speakers at the fifth annual Reagan National Defense Forum on Saturday at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library near Los Angeles.

The event, which began Saturday morning, featured eight panels throughout the day of retired generals, sitting senators and members of Congress.

During the last panel of the day, Fox News' Bret Baier sat down with Pompeo and Leon Panetta, the former CIA director and secretary of defense.

Pompeo dodged questions when Baier asked him about speculation he could replace Rex Tillerson as secretary of state.

“Very focused on what I’m doing Bret…I have been privileged to do this for 10 months and serve with the finest espionage service in the world, and look forward to continuing to work at it,” Pompeo said.

H.R. MCMASTER: POTENTIAL FOR WAR WITH NORTH KOREA INCREASES EVERY DAY

The panels focused on topics of national security and issues the armed forced face as well as ways to build peace and what the best solutions are to deal with threats.

The forum highlighted the growing threat from North Korea and ways to reach a solution. Earlier this week, North Korea launched an intercontinental ballistic missile, its most powerful missile to date. The launch signaled the hermit kingdom was close to its goal of launching missiles that could potentially reach the U.S.

During a one-on-one interview with Baier, McMaster said North Korea dictator Kim Jong Un’s nuclear ambitions are the gravest national security threat that America faces.

“The greatest immediate threat to the United States and to the world is the threat posed by the rogue regime in North Korea and his continued efforts to develop a long range nuclear capability,” he said.

Fox Business Network’s Trish Regan also hosted a panel with Hon. Richard Spencer, the Secretary of the Navy, Raj Shah, the Managing Director of Defense Innovation Unit Experimental, Michael Leskinen, Executive Director, Aerospace and Defense, J.P. Morgan and Michael Strianese, the Chairman and CEO of L3 Technologies.

Kissinger Chair; Director, International Security Program, Gen. Robert Neller, Commandant of the Marine Corps., Hon. These panels were live streamed on FoxNews.com with special selections broadcast live on Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network.
