Cafeteria on White House grounds shut down after worker tests positive for coronavirus
The White House said they have already conducted contact tracing
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}A cafeteria and another eatery on White House grounds are temporarily closed after a worker tested positive for coronavirus, Fox News has confirmed.
The locations, Ike's Eatery and another cafeteria, are not located in the White House itself, but in the Eisenhower Executive Office building. The White House Medical Office is conducting contact tracing and so far no staff members have been told to quarantine.

{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}These are separate from the White House mess hall, which is located in the West Wing and run by the U.S. Navy. That facility will not be affected by the closures of the other eateries. But the Eisenhower building is home to the offices of many senior officials, including the National Security Council and Vice President Pence.
The General Services Administration, which oversees the Eisenhower building, said in a statement that the outside vendor that runs the eatery had taken proper precautions to maintain a safe environment.

{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}“All proper protocols were in place by the vendor, including masks, gloves, plastic shielding at check out, and no dine-in service,” a GSA spokesperson told NBC News, which first reported the news. “The White House Medical Unit has done contact tracing and determined that the risk of retransmission is low.”
Both eateries are expected to be closed for two weeks.
