Bachmann Money Bomb Fizzles?

Published December 23, 2015

Fox News

Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann's "Money Bomb" fundraising quest to come up with $240k in just 24 hours came up short Thursday; the campaign raked in just $164,855.

The drive was billed as a way "to help make Barack Obama a one-term president." The pitch did not say who should replace Obama as the nation's next chief executive.

The potential GOP presidential candidate remains a typhoon-sized rainmaker though, she raised more than $13 million for her 2010 reelection and her first quarter fundraising totals outpaced those of one of the presumptive front-runners for the 2012 Republican presidential election, former Mass Gov. Mitt Romney.
