Janice Chance

Janice Chance is a proud Gold Star Mom and current military mom. She is the mother of the late Capt. Jesse Melton III USMC, killed in Afghanistan while supporting combat operations. Following Jesse’s passing, Janice made a commitment to serve and support veterans, active-duty members of our armed forces and their families. Mrs. Chance’s commitment led her to join the American Gold Star Mothers and the American Red Cross office at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Mrs. Chance also participates in special events and supports initiatives that honor and remember fallen heroes, active-duty service members, veterans and their families.
