Meghan Markle has had an unsteady relationship with fans of the royal family over the past several years, but according to one royal expert, the Duchess of Sussex might have won some people over throughout the week.

Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the royal family — including Markle and husband Prince Harry — were reunited all week long to pay respects to the late monarch. Queen Elizabeth II died at Balmoral Castle in Scotland on Sept. 8.

The queen's state funeral was held on Monday. According to royal expert Duncan Larcombe, this is the "first time" since Megxit that "Meghan has won a few more fans in the U.K." Harry and Markle moved to California after they stepped down as senior royals in 2020.

Queen Elizabeth II's aide, friend Angela Kelly attends Her Majesty's funeral

Queen Elizabeth's long-time personal assistant and dresser Angela Kelly was spotted arriving at Her Majesty's state funeral on Monday.

Kelly had worked for the queen since 1994.

The senior dresser wrote about taking care of Queen Elizabeth II during the coronavirus pandemic in her best-selling book.

"From March 2020 onwards I washed The Queen's hair every week, set and styled it, and even trimmed it when needed," Kelly wrote in the book, according to an excerpt published by Hello! Magazine. "My team named it Kelly's Salon."

"During the first two weeks, I was shaking," she said. "I had only done her hair once or twice before while on board the Royal Yacht Britannia. The Queen was so kind as she advised me on the very specific way to put the rollers in."

Queen Elizabeth’s funeral: Sandra Oh and Bear Grylls among TV stars at service

Some familiar faces from television were spotted during Queen Elizabeth’s state funeral.

Sandra Oh, known for her roles in "Killing Eve" and "Grey’s Anatomy," was among the very few stars who were invited to the service, which took place at London’s Westminster Abbey. The actress was appointed an Order of Canada as an officer just a few months ago.

Bear Grylls, a British adventurer and TV personality, also attended the funeral and represented the Scouts. The 48-year-old was appointed chief scout in 2009 at age 34, which made him the youngest person to hold the post in the U.K. In 2019, he was awarded OBE (officer of the Order of the British Empire) by the queen, who was a patron of the Scout Association.

Prince Harry appeared 'traumatized' at Queen Elizabeth II's funeral while seated behind King Charles

At the late Queen Elizabeth II's funeral on Monday, one member of the royal family in particular seemed to be overcome with emotion: Prince Harry.

"Harry just looked traumatized," Shannon Felton Spence, a royal expert, told Fox News Digital.

The late monarch's grandson sat next to wife Meghan Markle at the funeral. The couple was seated in the second row directly behind King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla.

The royal family's military service: Who has served their country?

As Britain and the world said a final goodbye to Queen Elizabeth at a state funeral on Monday, several of her children and grandchildren sported their military uniforms.

Some only wore suits.

Buckingham Palace previously confirmed that only working members of the royal family would wear military uniforms during the events leading up to and including the late monarch’s funeral service. Prince Andrew and Prince Harry, who are no longer senior working royals, wore dark suits to join the procession.

"The public was only informed after every family member had been informed," a spokesperson for King Charles III told Fox News Digital.

His Majesty's statement followed a news report that claimed U.K. Prime Minister Liz Truss found out about Queen Elizabeth II's death before the Duke of Sussex.

Queen Elizabeth II's coffin was lowered into the Royal Vault at St. George's Chapel on Monday.

The funeral for Her Majesty was held earlier Monday morning at Westminster Abbey in London.

As her coffin was lowered, to be in the vault with the late Prince Philip, the queen's piper played a lament and the Archbishop of Canterbury gave a blessing. "God Save the King" will be sung to close out the committal service.

Reagan Library spokesperson remembers special friendship between the queen and former president

EXCLUSIVE: A spokesperson for the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, reflected on the former president's unique friendship with the late Queen Elizabeth II.

"It was, of course, a relationship, but it was more than that," Melissa Giller, chief marketing officer of the Reagan Library, told Fox News Digital. "It was actually a friendship. They both really enjoyed each other's company. In his diary, the president called her things from 'delightful' to 'warm,' 'caring,' even called her an 'excellent horsewoman.'"

Queen Elizabeth knew 15 British prime ministers and 14 U.S. presidents throughout her seven-decade reign, but it was said that of all the presidents she met and knew, Reagan was her favorite.

Queen Elizabeth's funeral honors late royal's 'life-long sense of duty' at Westminster Abbey

The world gave a final goodbye to Queen Elizabeth II, Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, at a state funeral on Monday.

After thousands of mourners filled in front of the 96-year-old’s flag-draped coffin to pay their respects, the doors of 900-year-old Westminster Hall were closed. The first state funeral since Winston Churchill featured 142 Royal Navy sailors who drew the gun carriage carrying the late royal’s coffin to Westminster Abbey.

King Charles III and his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, walked behind as bagpipers played. Pallbearers carried the coffin into Westminster Abbey, where around 2,000 people ranging from world leaders to healthcare workers gathered. Crowds massed along the streets of London also united to honor the late queen. Ahead of the service, a bell tolled 96 times – one minute for each year of her life.

The montage, set to reflective piano music, showed the queen's life from when she was a baby, through her time as a young mother and her later years.

"Remembering Our Queen," a caption on the post began. "Today people from across the UK, Commonwealth and around the world will pay tribute to the extraordinary life and reign of Her Majesty The Queen."

Central London 'extremely busy' as mourners gather to see queen's procession

London's City Hall is advising public mourners to plan ahead if coming out to view the queen's procession before and after her state funeral because the central part of the city is "extremely busy."

Last member of the public to view queen lying in state queued for hours - twice

Chrissy Heerey was among hundreds of thousands of people who waited for more than a dozen hours on average to pay their respects to the queen while she was lying in state at Westminster Hall in London.

Heerey was not only the last member of the public to view her lying in state before it closed at 6:30 a.m. London time, she also made the journey once before overnight. " [I] felt I needed to go through again," she told Sky News.

She called the viewing an "honor," saying the queen was an "amazing lady who will never be replaced."

Heerey, who is from near High Wycombe, northwest of London, serves in the Royal Air Force.

"I swore my allegiance to her, she said. "I just feel very proud being in the air force and being one of her subjects."

President Biden, who landed in London Saturday night and attended a reception for world leaders at Buckingham Palace on Sunday, is among the many heads of state expected to attend Queen Elizabeth II's funeral Monday morning at Westminster Abbey.

Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan will attend despite British tensions with Beijing and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is expected to miss it despite an invitation. Russia has not been invited to send a representative in light of the war in Ukraine.

Biden and first lady Jill Biden also paid their respects to the queen during her lying in state at Westminster Hall on Sunday.

Royal family releases new portrait of Queen Elizabeth II from Platinum Jubilee ahead of funeral

A new portrait of the late Queen Elizabeth II was released Sunday before Monday's funeral at Westminster Hall in London.

"Ahead of Her Majesty The Queen’s State Funeral, a new photograph has been released," the royal family said in a statement released on Twitter.

"The photo was taken to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee - the first British Monarch to reach this milestone."

"Tomorrow, millions will come together to commemorate her remarkable life."

Prince William's oldest children will walk behind Queen Elizabeth's coffin at state funeral

Prince William  and Kate Middleton's oldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, will be in attendance at Queen Elizabeth II's state funeral Monday at Westminster Abbey in London.

The nine-year-old prince and his seven-year-old sister are also expected to follow Her Majesty's casket along in the "Procession of the Coffin," in official proceedings of the memorial released by the Palace.
