Jason Kelce on trip to Olympics for first visit to Paris with wife since honeymoon

Former Eagles center Jason Kelce is in Paris for the Olympics with his wife Kylie Kelce, he said during an appearance on "Green Light with Chris Long" on Friday.

The couple went to watch one of the field hockey games and Jason even arm-wrestled a rugby player.

Jason said his wife has impressed the locals with her ability to speak French, picking up after him.

"Every time she speaks at the other French people, the Parisians are like complimenting her on her accent or they think we're Canadian," Jason said. "So I think that that like helps us [not be seen as American]."

Noah Lyles had 102-degree fever while racing with COVID in men's 200m final

The coach of American sprinter Noah Lyles, Lance Brauman, said Lyles had a 102 degrees Fahrenheit fever when he won bronze in the men's 200-meter final on Thursday. After the race, it was announced that Lyles had test positive for COVID-19 the night before.

"Those guys raced great," Brauman said. "But to get a bronze medal in 19.70 with a temperature of about 102, that wasn't too bad."

Lyles, 27, was back at the track Friday night wearing a protective mask while accepting his bronze medal. He did a lap around the track waving to fans but kept his distance from Tebogo and Bednarek.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

American hurdler Raj Benjamin won gold in the 400-meter hurdle final on Friday.

Benjamin defeated reigning Olympic champion Karsten Warholm of Norway to win the 400-meter hurdles gold.

For Bejamin, the gold marks a resilient comeback from the Tokyo Olympics, where he lost to Warholm despite running a then-personal-best of 46.17, shy of Warholm's 45.94 to win gold.

At the 2023 Diamond League, ran the fourth-fastest 400m hurdles ever recorded, clocking a time of 46.39 seconds to secure the title and beat world record-holder Warholm for only the second time in his career. Now he has beaten him for a third time.

US sprinter Christian Coleman explains baton fumble that led to 4x100 relay disqualification

American sprinter Christian Coleman was part of the mishandled baton pass that caused disqualification for the US during the men's 4x100 relay on Friday.

Coleman did not hand the baton off cleanly to teammate Kenny Bednarek. When Bednarek started leaving his mark, Coleman was nowhere near the tape in their lane.

Coleman actually ran a good leg, but Bednarek left way too early and gave them basically no shot to complete handoff cleanly.

"It's a little disappointing, especially for America, because we wanted to bring it home," Coleman told reporters after the race."We knew we had the speed to do it ... but we are human beings, too. We've been through ups and downs in life. This is just another one of those times where we just got to keep our head down and just keep pushing."

US disqualified from 4x100 relay after botched handoff

The U.S. was disqualified from the men's 4x100 relay after botching their first handoff, when Christian Coleman passed to Kenny Bednarek outside of the designated zone.

The U.S. men's team is historically notorious for fumbling relay handoffs.

The group of Coleman, Bednarek, Kyree King and Fred Kerley initially finished in seventh place as the fumbled handoff caused them to fall behind, and they never recovered.

Canada finished first at 37.50, South Africa took second, running a 37.57 and Great Britain crossed the line at 37.61 to take Bronze.

The American 100-meter gold medalist Noah Lyles was supposed to compete in this race, but had to withdraw after contracting COVID-19 on Wednesday. Kyree King competed in place for Lyles.

Team USA's Nelly Korda makes improbable birdie from 82 yards out

Nelly Korda from the Eiffel Tower sinks it in for the birdie! Well, not exactly.

The American found the bottom of the cup from 82 yards out to birdie on the 7th hole at Le Golf National on Friday.

Korda found herself in a little bit of trouble after a wayward drive, she was hoping to just put herself in position to scramble for a par. But after her incredible shot, she could keep the putter in the bag. The birdie brought her back to even par on the day, 2-under par for the tournament.

The 26-year-old looked like she was going to be at the top of the leaderboard Thursday. She had six birdies on the day after the 15th hole but proceeded to get a quad bogey on the 16th hole, and a bogey on the 17th.

The no. 1 ranked golfer in the world went from being 6-under and in sole possession of second place, to 2-under par after settling down to birdie the 18th hole, ending her second round in a tie for 12th.

Korda is the defending Olympic champion. She won gold at the 2020 Tokyo Games.

Noah Lyles says Paris Olympics are likely over for him after racing with COVID

American track star Noah Lyles earned a bronze medal in the men's 200-meter final on Thursday, despite entering the race as the overwhelming favorite. Already a gold medalist in Paris after winning the men's 100-meter sprint, Lyles revealed after the race that he contracted COVID days earlier.

But his result in Thursday's final might be his last medal of these Summer Games.

"I believe this will be the end of my 2024 Olympics. It is not the Olympic I dreamed of but it has left me with so much Joy in my heart," Lyles wrote in an Instagram post. "I hope everyone enjoyed the show. Whether you were rooting for me or against me, you have to admit you watched, didn’t you? See you next time."

The men's 4x100 team relay final is slated to begin Friday at 1:47 p.m. ET, but Lyles had told NBC's broadcast after the 200m that the rest of the 4x100 team "can handle it without me."
