Yemeni citizens fleeing conflict between advancing Iran-backed Houthi rebels and Yemeni government forces described "hysterical panic" on Sunday.
“We set out in hysterical panic on a motorcycle, not knowing where we were heading,” Alaa Ali Salem said. “The roads suddenly became extremely congested, and while I was driving, the motorcycle overturned. My wife, my children and I were all injured."
The renewed Houthi offensive threatens to return Yemen to full civil war, with an estimated 80,000 people displaced by fighting since the start of September.
One woman described chaos as Yemeni forces collapsed before the Houthi advance on Saturday.
“We saw soldiers shouting for a retreat as bullets flew all around, and we had no idea what was happening. One of my sons had a motorcycle, so I told him to take his children and flee,” said Durrah Ali Hassan, who took shelter in a relative’s house.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Sunday that Iran would not yield to U.S. pressure, accusing Washington of targeting civilian infrastructure. “If Americans are warriors, let them face our valiant military forces,” Pezeshkian said in a post shared on X.
“Why wage war on civilian infrastructure, food supplies, and livelihoods?” he asked.
“If they're human, why deny people access to water, food, and medicine? Our people can't be bullied into submission. Iran won't surrender,” Pezeshkian warned.

“I'll look at it,” Trump told reporters in Ireland.

The military identified the two men as Hassan Ali Abu Nada and Abd al-Rahim Ahmad Khalil Khawa.
“Recently, the terrorists were involved in the production and development of weapons, advanced terror attacks against IDF troops and Israeli citizens, and attempted to reconstitute the terrorist organization's capabilities, in systemic violation of the ceasefire,” the IDF said in a statement.
Trump tells Zelenskyy to stop doing 'one thing' amid global oil crisis
President Donald Trump has a blunt message for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as Kyiv continues targeting Russia: Stop hitting its diesel refineries.
Trump made the remarks Sunday while attending the Irish Open at his golf club in Doonbeg, Ireland, after a reporter asked whether he had spoken with Zelenskyy following a recent conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"Zelensky has to do one thing. He has to stop knocking out diesel fuel in Russia," Trump told reporters.
Trump said Ukraine could continue pursuing other targets inside Russia but urged Zelenskyy to steer clear of the country’s diesel infrastructure.
"Let him go after targets, but not diesel fuel because he's causing a shortage of diesel," Trump said. "This isn't done by the Middle East. This is done by what's happening with Russia and Ukraine."
The president said he had already spoken directly with Zelenskyy about the issue.
"So we spoke to Mr. Zelensky about it. There are plenty of other targets," Trump said. "Don't hit diesel fuel because that's hurting the world. We don't want him to hit diesel fuel. He's hitting diesel refineries."

Yemeni government vows to commit more forces against Houthis after admitting 'painful' defeat'
The Yemeni government has vowed to commit more forces to fight off the Iran-backed Houthi's on the country's Red Sea coast on Sunday.
The move comes after Yemeni forces conceded a "painful" defeat against the Houthis this weekend as the Iran-backed group took control of the port city of Mokha, as well as an island in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, a major oil route for Saudi Arabia.
Since capturing the new territory, Houthi forces have taken credit for multiple missile attacks targeting Saudi territory.
The Houthis claimed to have used drones and missiles to target Saudi Arabia, including a military base just over the border with Yemen. Houthi military spokesperson Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree didn’t provide evidence or say when the attack occurred.
The Saudi civil defense overnight said a projectile fell in a different area near the border with Yemen along the Red Sea, injuring two people and damaging a mosque and several other buildings. The statement blamed the Houthis.

Fox News Digital independently confirmed key elements of an Axios report with a source familiar with the matter, who said the crown prince spoke with Trump a few times over the past 24 hours about the escalating situation in Yemen.
The U.S. does not want to take direct military action for now, but Trump told bin Salman that Washington would assist Saudi Arabia with intelligence and targeting support, according to the source.

A vessel was struck by an unknown projectile while transiting the Strait of Hormuz, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said in a verified warning late Saturday.
UKMTO said the condition of the crew, the extent of any damage and the possible environmental impact were not immediately known.
The maritime security agency said authorities were investigating the incident and advised vessels traveling through the strategic waterway to exercise caution and report suspicious activity.
The warning was reported at 11 p.m. UTC Saturday and issued early Sunday UTC. UKMTO did not identify the vessel or say who may have fired the projectile.
The UKTMO did not identify the craft, but Iranian state media claims one person was killed after a strike on an Iranian vessel Saturday.
