FIRST ON FOX: On Saturday, Alec Baldwin spoke out amid the "Rust" shooting investigation. The accident left cinematographer Halyna Hutchins dead and injured director Joel Souza.
Baldwin was joined by his wife Hilaria when he spoke to photographers. Baldwin said he was cooperating with the police and speaking to them every day.
"It's an active investigation in terms of a woman died, she was my friend," he said of Hutchins. "We were a very, very well-oiled crew shooting a film together, and then this horrible event happened."
Of Hutchins' husband, Baldwin said: "He is in shock, he has a nine-year-old son. We are in constant contact with him because we are very worried about his family and his kid. As I said, we are eagerly awaiting for the sheriff's department to tell us what their investigation has yielded."
When asked if he'd work on a set with firearms again, Baldwin noted he "couldn't answer that question."
"I really don't have any -- I have no sense of that at all," Baldwin shared. "I do know that an ongoing effort to limit the use of firearms on film sets is something I'm extremely interested in."

Hilaria Baldwin was seen picking up coffee for her husband, Alec Baldwin, and her family following the couple's night out in a Vermont bar where they grabbed a bite to eat and had drinks. She had wine while he had a non-alcoholic IPA.
For her coffee run on Saturday, Baldwin was wearing an all-black outfit -- leggings, jacket, and a hat.
Photos obtained by Fox News showed Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria dining in a bar in Vermont, raising some questions on social media as to whether Baldwin has broken his sobriety.
However, Baldwin appeared to be drinking a non-alcoholic beer called “Rescue Club,” a beverage made in Burlington, Vermont. The company calls its beverage “a craft beer, without the alcohol.”
The actor wrote in his biography that he went sober in 1985 shortly before turning 27 years old after two years of hard drug and alcohol abuse.

After days of investigation, a new name has bubbled to the surface in the Alec Baldwin-"Rust" accidental movie set shooting case: Sarah Zachry.Zachry is credited as the film's property – or prop – master.
It was revealed Wednesday that Zachry was one of four people to handle a gun on the set of "Rust" Oct. 21 that was discharged by actor Baldwin – who authorities said believed the gun was "cold" or unloaded during a rehearsal.
A projectile from the weapon struck and ultimately killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and also wounded director Joel Souza. He has since been released from a hospital.
At one point on the day of the shooting, per armorer Hannah Gutierrez's statement shared in an affidavit, Zachry removed the gun from a safe in a prop truck and brought it to Gutierrez. Assistant director Dave Halls later handed Baldwin the gun, stating there was no ammunition inside it.

The accidental shooting incident involving Alec Baldwin that left cinematographer Halyna Hutchins dead has called the conditions and potential corner-cutting on the movie "Rust" into question.
Baldwin was rehearsing a scene for the movie on Oct. 21 that required him to cross-draw his revolver, which he was led to believe by assistant director Dave Halls was a "cold gun," a term used to describe a gun that was safe to handle.
However, somehow a live round made its way into the firearm. When it went off, Hutchins was hit with a fatal shot and the same bullet went into director Joel Souza’s shoulder, where it was later recovered. In the wake of the tragedy, several conversations are happening regarding the use of live ammunition and real guns on film and TV sets.
Meanwhile, "Rust" armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed, one of the very few people who handled the firearm prior to the shooting, noted in a statement through her attorneys that a low-budget and pressure to go quickly by producers led to a lapse in safety protocols.
