You’ve Come A Long Way, Kellie Pickler; See The 'DWTS' Champ’s Style Evolution

The “Small Town Girl” (which happens to be the title of her first album) honky-tonked onto our screens in the fifth season of "American Idol" back in 2006, but there have been a lot of highs (heels) and lows (hair) and kisses blown in the years leading up to Kellie Pickler’s big "Dancing With the Stars" win this week. But this hasn’t been the only shining moment since Pickler came to fame. Back in 2008 she topped Billboard’s country albums list, she’s won four CMT awards, and in 2011 she got married to husband Kyle Jacobs (who, according to US Magazine, shed a tear at her win). The thing is, her fashion moments haven’t been quite so shining. When America first met Kellie at her "Idol" audition, she looked like the producers at Fox plucked her straight from the mall. Not bad, but definitely not great. Soon, her long locks where chopped in a Miley-esque spike (with a bit of an awkward in-between phase) and before we knew it, she was sitting front row at Fashion Week and looking like she belonged. She established a signature pose (the air kiss), a dressing go-to (the open back), and harnessed a sophisticated (not tawny) shade of blonde at a variety of lengths.
