PHOTOS: Taylor Swift's Glamorous Style Evolution

Before Taylor Swift resembled an old Hollywood screen siren with her signature red lips, or an English royal with her floor-sweeping, sparkly ensembles, she was just another country singer sporting cowboy boots and ribbons of lasagna-esque hair. READ: 10 Grammy Moments That Shouldn't Have Happened But just like any pop star, the award-winning singer has transformed her personal style and has been debuting just as many hits on the red carpet as she’s been breaking (famous) hearts. No longer a country cutie, the now statuesque 24-year-old has let her (straightened) hair down and is embracing an ultra glamorous new look (though she hasn't given up her signature high-waisted shorts). PHOTOS: Taylor Swift and Her Signature High-Waisted Shorts Swift, who credits Cyd Charisse, Audrey Hepburn, Francoise Hardy, and Jane Birkin as some of her fashion inspirations, notes that she, too, has some style regrets. "I started walking red carpets when I was 16," Swift told Yahoo. "I think since I missed prom so many times, I would wear prom-like dresses. Princessy, pastels...I can't remember a specific one, I just see them all as a blur. [Laughs]" "I feel bossy telling people what to do, but I think the best option for what to wear is something that won't make you cringe in 20 years, like passing trends," she adds. "When everybody's wearing neon, I'm not. When everybody's got spikes on everything, I'm not doing that. When everybody's trying to look tough, I'm not. When you ignore fads and just wear what you like that's classic and simple, I think that's the way to go for longevity as far as style is concerned."
