The owner of an Ohio bridal shop that went out of business after an Ebola scare has sued a Texas hospital, saying it failed to train and prevent a nurse from contracting the virus from a hospital patient.
The nurse, Amber Vinson, visited the shop in 2014 and tried on a wedding dress. She was diagnosed with Ebola when she returned to Texas. The shop, Coming Attractions Bridal & Formal in Akron, closed several weeks that fall then for good in early 2015.
WFAA-TV in Dallas reports (http://bit.ly/2dfgorU) shop owner Anna Younker sued Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas on Tuesday. Younker accuses the hospital of negligence regarding Vinson's training.
