A Kansas City hospital’s tiniest patients celebrated Halloween early this week when the March of Dimes delivered tiny costumes to the NICU unit of St. Luke’s Hospital.
On Tuesday, volunteers brought about 40 homemade costumes— including superheroes, bugs, butterflies and Kansas City Royals baseball uniforms— to make sure families didn’t miss out on their baby’s first Halloween, Fox4KC reported.
“It’s amazing,” Jennifer Behnke, William’s mom, told the news station. “It’s very humbling, and we feel very blessed to have so many people on our side and helping us make everyday experiences and milestones normal while still being in the hospital.”

The March of Dimes also plans to help the families at St. Luke’s celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas.
