Reality TV Star Kim Kardashian West has drawn critics for everything from her selfies to her fashion choices. But now, the mother to North West and wife of rapper Kanye West has come under fire from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which says her social media posts violate drug promotion rules, fox8.com reported.
Drug endorsement deals are common among celebrities, but Kardashian’s recent promotion of the prescription morning sickness pill Diclegis on her social media accounts isn’t kosher, the FDA said in a warning letter to the drugmaker.
On Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, Kardashian has touted the drug’s ability to ease nausea due to pregnancy. The star announced her second pregnancy with West in May. However, the FDA says her posts violate drug promotion rules because they don’t disclose potentially dangerous side effects and drug interactions, according to fox8.com.

Duchesnay Inc., the drugmaker of Diclegis, previously circulated a press release about its partnership with Kardashian, the news station reported.
Bloomberg News reported that in an email, a Duchesnay spokesperson said the company “acknowledges that its communications, including in social media as in this particular instance, need to be in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.” Duchesnay “will take quick action in responding to the FDA’s letter and immediately and effectively address any issues.”
According to fox8.com, Kardashian’s publicist hasn’t responded to the letter.
