Great-grandfather raising money for charity becomes oldest person to get tattoo

A great-grandfather in the United Kingdom will be awarded a Guinness World Record for becoming the oldest person to get a tattoo at age 104. Jack Reynolds chose to get his nickname, “Jacko,” and his birth date April 6, 1912, inked on his upper right arm, Metro.co.uk reported.
“I’m a big, strong lad, and I’ve had plenty of needles in me in my time in various places,” Reynolds told the news website.
On hand to witness and get matching tattoos of their own were Reynolds’ daughter and grandson. All were inked in the name of charity, with proceeds from their fundraising benefitting Ashgate Hospice, a care home for terminally ill adults.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}“My grandchildren think I’m bonkers,” Reynolds told Metro.co.uk. “I’ve been bonkers for years,”
Reynolds first made headlines when he completed the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to raise money for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), an incurable neurodegenerative dsease, at age 102. That time, he completed the feat wearing only boxers.
“He doesn’t even like tattoos, but he wanted to do something special that would raise a lot of money,” Jayne Goodwin, Reynolds’ daughter, told Metro.co.uk.
