Does the Food Lovers Fat Loss Program Really Work?

There are many diet regimens advertising themselves as easy, fast and effective. The Food Lovers Fat Loss System is a program designed to let you eat the food you love while still burning fat — and the diet may work for some. But before spending your hard-earned cash, you should better understand what the diet is capable of delivering and what it expects. Doing so will ensure that you will lose weight in a healthy, safe and realistic manner.
The weight loss system
Food Lovers says that their fat loss system is not a diet but rather an eating plan. You can eat any food you want. You just need to eat your favorite foods in combinations that speed up your metabolism, effectively shedding pounds. Inventors of the diet say that through years of studying nutritional science research, they have deduced a method to burn fat without prohibiting any foods, no matter how gluttonous. According to the company’s website, you need to do three things: (1) Eat meals that combine fast carbs, slow carbs and protein; (2) Maintain even blood sugar by snacking frequently and (3) Keep your body in fat-burning mode all day. Upon purchasing “the system,” the company ships you multiple media items — from cookbooks to motivational CDs and an exercise DVD.
Calorie count
The company’s website features numerous success stories and a disclaimer at the bottom of each page that reads, “These results are not typical, but they are achievable, depending on your level of commitment. Food Lovers Fat Loss System is based on a healthy eating and exercise program, which are essential for healthy weight loss.” The disclaimer’s phrase “healthy eating” might seem antithetical with the company’s claim that you can choose from your favorite foods. Just because you can eat anything you want doesn’t mean you can eat much of it. According to LiveStrong.com, the system limits you to 1,500 calories per day. The plan allocates 400 calories for breakfast, 500 calories for lunch and 600 calories for dinner. Though foods are not restricted, weight loss success on the diet comes from something most people already know — eat fewer calories and exercise regularly to shed extra pounds.
