Officials say at least 150 people who went to a Village Tavern restaurant in Charlotte are at risk of getting hepatitis A.

Mecklenburg County Health Director Gibbie Harris said at a news conference Thursday that those who ate or drank at the Village Tavern in Charlotte's SouthPark neighborhood on Oct. 30 should get vaccinated by Tuesday.

Officials learned Wednesday a restaurant employee went to a hospital with symptoms of the liver disease.

News outlets report Mecklenburg County has had 24 confirmed hepatitis A cases this year, while it had four in 2017. They reported last week that the state Department of Health and Human Services confirmed the first death related to the ongoing hepatitis A outbreak happened last month.

Village Tavern said in a statement authorities aren't aware of anyone infected by the employee.
