It doesn’t get more Texas than Whataburger and firearms — at least according to one gun retailer.
Houston, Texas-based HTX Tactical decided to pay homage to the Lone Star state's favorite fast-food chain with its newest creation: the Whata-Pistol.
The specialty AR pistol was designed with a Whataburger logo, signature orange and white colors and a french fry magazine. It was reportedly made for a Whataburger “fanatic” who commissioned the company.

“Obviously, Texas, firearms and Whataburger go hand in hand, whether you enjoy (firearms) or not,” co-owner Javier Garcia said to the Chron.
However, the product, which is a one-of-a-kind pistol and is not available for purchase at HTX Tactical, did not get a sign-off from Whataburger itself.

In a statement to Fox News, a spokesperson for the burger chain said it was contacting the gun company to stop using its brand to promote the weapon.
“This product is not affiliated or licensed by the Whataburger brand in any way. HTX Tactical does not have permission to use Whataburger’s logo, and we’ve contacted them to stop using the brand to create and promote this product.”
