Patti LaBelle hit a high note with fans over the holiday season with her branded sweet potato pies from Walmart.
After a viral video review of the pie from Los Angeles-based entertainer James Wright Chanel, LaBelle’s pie sold out in stores around the country and the super chain ramped up production to fulfill orders.

But can the legendary songstress score an encore success with her next desserts?
Walmart announced the release of two new #PattiCakes Monday. The first, a vanilla bundt cake drizzled with vanilla icing was released already. A three-layer caramel cake-- yellow cake filled with buttercream frosting and drizzled with a rich caramel sauce, will hit stores on the 18th.
Though the super store says it is still working to restock sweet potato pie orders, Walmart hopes the #PattiCake will take off just like its pie predecessor. Both cakes will be available year round but availability will differ by store location.

But unlike the sweet potato pie which retailed for $3.99, these new cakes aren’t dirt cheap. The vanilla bundt cake retails for $6.44 and the caramel cake is $13.94.
Ouch.
