A fight broke out between Taco Bell employees and customers outside of the fast-food restaurant in the Center City district of Philadelphia last week, reportedly over tacos.

The altercation, which was captured on camera and posted on Twitter, took place Sunday night, Feb. 24, and was apparently sparked after customers were complaining about the long wait times for their meal orders.

According to ABC6, Bryan Reese, the customer who was attacked in the video, six employees followed him outside of the Taco Bell after he and others complained about waiting 45 minutes for their taco orders. Reese said the store was full of other customers waiting nearly an hour for their orders, too.

Reese reportedly told ABC6 that the employees claimed to be inundated with GrubHub orders and were unable to fill walk-in customers right away.

The man claims the complaints eventually bothered the employees enough that three of them jumped over the counter and followed him outside, where his girlfriend was waiting, and began to beat up the pair. It is not clear why Reese and his girlfriend were targeted.

"I backed out of the store. They continued to follow me. They put me on the ground, and I don't really remember too much else. Except for when I got up my girlfriend was on the ground being beat, too. She wasn't even in the store at the time,” Reese said to ABC6.

Reese allegedly filed a complaint to Taco Bell and said he was given a $20 gift card, but the chain refused to immediately give him the names of the employees involved so he could press charges.

Taco Bell eventually provided Reese with names, but it was not reported whether or not Reese has pressed charges for assault.
