Shaquille O’Neal is opening his own restaurant – and inviting cameras along for the ride.
Facebook Watch, a streaming service operated by Facebook, announced the four-time NBA champion is coming to the platform with his show “Big Chicken Shaq,” which will show the trials and successes of opening a fried chicken restaurant.

But this show will differ from other reality television programming, in that Shaq plans for the 8-episode series to be interactive.
“It’s going to be so much fun designing my own restaurant, and I can’t imagine a better group of people to do it with than with my incredibly loyal Facebook fans,” O’Neal said to Variety. “It’s an opportunity for us to collaborate together, and I know the Facebook community will offer terrific feedback.”
According to a press release, fans will be able to offer their opinion to the iconic basketball star on his debut restaurant.
“Through real-time engagement on Facebook Watch, fans will be able to help shape Shaq’s new Las Vegas restaurant – Big Chicken – launching later this year. The series will also feature a variety of content in-between episodes, and O’Neal will leverage Facebook Live to surprise fans with cookalongs, taste tests and other activities.”

The show is slated to premiere this fall on Facebook Watch.
