A Houston restaurant is reportedly banning diners under the age of 8 during nighttime hours.
La Fisheria, the seafood restaurant headed by Mexican reality television chef Aquiles Chavez, announced the new policy on its Facebook page, indicating that all guests must be age 8 or older when dining after 7 p.m., the Houston Chronicle reports.
“We are a family friendly restaurant, and we also respect all of our customers so we introduce this new policy to the restaurant,” the post reads. “Thanks for your understanding.”
The newspaper has reached out to managers for comment.
Another Houston restaurant, the now-defunct Vida Tex-Mex, banned children from the dining room in recent years by requiring evening diners to be age 16 or older.
