In conjunction with the release of Men in Black 3 on May 25, Baskin-Robbins introduced a series of frozen treats this month inspired by the themes of the movie. In fact, one of the flavors, Lunar Cheesecake, is being re-introduced — it was originally created to commemorate the first successful expedition to the moon in 1969.
While they’re not technically food, Flintstones Vitamins are one of the most famous examples of a food product inspired by Hollywood. Miles Laboratories introduced the vitamins in 1968 and Post Cereal caught onto the idea pretty quickly, debuting Pebbles Cereal (also based on The Flintstones) in 1971.
In the case of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans and Harry Potter Chocolate Frogs, Jelly Belly took products explicitly outlined in the book and film series and brought them to life. And Nestlé took things a step further when they licensed material from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and created an entire brand, Wonka Candy.

Burger King — King Kong Burger
In conjunction with the release of King Kong in 2005, Burger King began marketing a new burger crafted to "feed king-sized appetites." The Triple Whopper with cheese was simply a larger version of the original Whopper, and included three patties instead of one. The chain also rolled out a chocolate banana milkshake to promote the film.

In anticipation of the May 25 movie premiere of Men in Black 3, Baskin-Robbins introduced a few frozen treats inspired by the film on May 1. The Lunar Cheesecake flavor was originally created in 1969 to commemorate the first spaceflight to land on the moon; the ice cream chain rebooted the flavor for MIB 3 with green and white cheesecake ice cream, cheesecake chunks, and a graham cracker crust ribbon. The Pink Surprise Cake is evidently inspired by a pivotal scene in the movie; it includes Oreo ice cream layered between two sheets of devil’s food cake.
Campbell’s — Disney Princess Soup
In an attempt to appeal to picky eaters everywhere, Campbell’s soup created a line of chicken noodle soups inspired by Disney movies and characters. The Disney Princess soup includes noodles shaped like castles and crowns and the label features the princesses. The Cars soup is similar with, well, car-shaped noodles.
