Dunkin’ Donuts is expanding its food offerings, and The Daily Meal has the exclusive on the five new menu items, both savory and sweet. Later this month, Dunkin’ Donuts stores will start rolling out new limited-edition food items.
The three new savory sandwiches are the pretzel roll chicken sandwich (breaded chicken filet topped with bacon, cheddar cheese, and honey mustard on an oven-toasted pretzel roll), the Snack n’ Go steak wrap (five-inch round tortilla with angus steak, a slice of reduced fat Cheddar cheese, and honey mustard sauce), Southwest supreme bagel (plain bagel topped with melted Colby Jack cheese, corn, black beans, peppers, tomatoes, and onions, all served warm).
The two desserts are the raspberry cheesecake square (filled with cheesecake and topped with white icing and raspberry flavored candy), and our favorite, the Oreo cheesecake square (filled with cheesecake and topped with white icing and crumbled Oreo cookies).
“We’ve found that menu items that are ‘familiar with a twist’ tend to resonate well with our guests,” said Jeff Miller, executive chef and vice president of product innovation at Dunkin’ Donuts.
“We brought back the pretzel roll due to popular demand and added the delicious breaded chicken that our guests know and love. We’ve also found that our supreme bagel has been very popular with our guests. Lastly, the new raspberry & Oreo cheesecake squares invoke a sense of nostalgia and craving for the familiar taste of cheesecake.”
