    Double Delight: Classic Pink Glazed Doughnuts with Vanilla Milkshakes

READ: 6 of the Most Outrageous Doughnuts in America For those with a sweet tooth, this is one holiday worth a diet cheat.  For this special event, celebrity caterer Andrea Correale, who has worked with stars including Jimmy Fallon and Mariah Carey, is whipping up a delectable dessert that you can share with a beloved…or all by yourself (don’t worry, we’re right there with you). Correale understands your woe all too well. She recommends washing these donuts down with a thick, creamy vanilla milkshake loaded with ice cream and fresh vanilla extract. Best of all? Both are easy to whip up for any occasion (ahem, today) and they only require simple ingredients you can find in any market. Looks like your weekend just started…now. FYI: The chocolate chip cookies are totally optional. Again, no judgement here.

  • Classic Pink Glazed Donuts
    Ingredients 1 cup all-purpose flour 6 Tbsps. sugar 1 tsp. baking powder 4 Tbsps. Chobani 0% Vanilla Greek Yogurt 2 Tbsp. milk 1 egg 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 1 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted Preparation Pre-heat the oven to 325 degrees. Spray donut pan with non-stick spray. Set aside. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, and baking powder. Set aside. In a small bowl, whisk together the yogurt, milk, egg, vanilla, and melted butter. Slowly mix wet ingredients into dry- just until fully combined. Fill the donut cavities about 2/3 full.  Bake 8 to 11 minutes until donuts are set and golden brown. Allow to cool before glazing.

  • Strawberry Glaze
    Ingredients 1 bag (20 oz.) frozen strawberries ½ cup sugar 1 ½ cup confectioners' sugar 2 Tbsps. unsalted butter, softened 1/4 tsp. pure vanilla extract Preparation Place strawberries and 2 tablespoons water in a small saucepan and cook over medium heat until thick, about 30 minutes. Run the contents through a food mill and strain into a small saucepan. Add 1/2 cup sugar and cook until sugar dissolves and mixture thickens to make a syrup consistency, about 15 minutes. Combine powdered sugar, butter, vanilla, and 4 tablespoons of the syrup in a medium bowl and whisk until smooth. Dip donuts into glaze and serve with mini vanilla milkshakes.

    Ingredients 5 scoops vanilla ice cream 1 cup of milk 1 tsp. vanilla extract Preparation In blender, combine ice cream, milk, and vanilla, and blend until mixture is smooth and frothy. Pour into mini shot glasses and serve with glazed donuts.
