These $348 sneakers come with zero calorie croissants.

Sneaker brand Koio partnered with “The World’s Best Pastry Chef,” Dominique Ansel, on a pair of limited-edition Avalanche sneakers ($348).

The Cronut creator drew inspiration from his baking when it came to his first fashion collab, with the design based on the essentials in his famed pastries. Ansel was excited to collaborate with Koio on the sneaker, recognizing the parallels of what he creates and creating sneakers.

“In both instances, we start off with the same materials or ingredients almost every time, but work to create magic through our design in the way those ingredients are measured and incorporated,” says Dominique Ansel.

The look of the shoes was said to be inspired by flour, sugar, eggs and butter: "the core ingredients in a classic French croissant." (Koio)

The “recipe” for these kicks is Vitello calf leather (egg), white suede (flour), patent leather (butter) and crystalized details (sugar), per the product page.

Those four ingredients mixed together form the sleek “on-trend” sneaker and come with butter-colored laces showcasing a single copper croissant on the front of each.
