How do U want it -- medium or well done?

A Fresno, Calif. burger restaurant is giving itself a Tupac Shakur-themed makeover to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the rapper’s death on Sept. 13, 1996.

Take 3 Burgers in the Fulton Mall will transform into Powamekka Café for the one-day event Tuesday, according to a press release distributed by the restaurant.

Tupac-themed menu items to be sold include a “California Love” chicken sandwich, Hennessy apple butter chicken wings and a macaroni and cheese burger. For dessert, the restaurant will serve “Thug Passion” cake pops (champagne cake with Alizé-flavored frosting). The café will have a new menu, entirely new signage and utilize Tupac-themed artwork, too.

The concept is reportedly based on a restaurant Shakur was planning to open in Los Angeles before he was killed. As such, the restaurant coordinators say the branding and marketing for the café, which will open at 7 p.m tonight inside Take 3 Burgers, come directly from Shakur’s own sketches. According to Rolling Stone, Shakur wrote up ideas for a cookbook and restaurant based off of his own recipes.

Though some on Twitter have expressed doubts about commercializing the deceased rapper's image through food.

But many in Fresno can't wait to get their hands on a Tupac-themed food.

A one sheet available at the Grammy Museum, detailed his ideas for the Powamekka Café. Those include a logo that incorporates an Ankh symbol, some branding mantras and sketches of bathroom doors for "Playaz" and "Divaz."

The opening night festivities will also incorporate a Tupac-themed art show and local musicians performing their own renditions of the artists music. Diners of all ages are welcome to attend.

Fans of east coast rappers shouldn’t worry, however. Not looking to start any beefs besides those on the grill, Take 3 also served a Notorious B.I.G. tribute brunch earlier this year. According to The Fresno Bee, the restaurant hosted the event dedicated to the New York rapper (and infamous Shakur rival) in March. The affair was held on the rapper’s birthday and was inspired by his hit song “Big Poppa.” The restaurant opened its doors at 5:46 AM and served the “Biggie breakfast” – a T-bone steak, cheese eggs and Welch’s grape juice.
