Cake from royal weddings of William and Kate, Charles and Diana being auctioned off

Food fans can get a slice of royalty after cake from numerous weddings including William and Kate and Charles and Diana came up for auction.

Five cakes slices from the most iconic royal weddings of the past 50 years will be going under the hammer.

A six-year old piece from the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton is expected to sell for £500 (about $680).

The slice of fruitcake, made by Fiona Cairns, is contained within a presentation tin that was given to guests and dignitaries at the April 29, 2011, wedding.

It is accompanied by an enclosure card that reads, “With best wishes/ from/TRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall/ in celebration of the wedding/ of/ TRH The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.”

A slice of cake from the legendary royal wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana on July 29, 1981 is also available.

The cake contained in a white box with silver printing that reads “CD/ Buckingham Palace/ 29th July 1981” and wrapped in a paper doily comes with an original transmittal envelope to “Mr. and Mrs. M.J. Waite” with Queen Elizabeth’s royal stamp. The piece is estimated to sell for £800 (about $1,088).

Julien’s Auctions will be auctioning the cake slices off on June 23 at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas and online at juliensauctions.com.

Other highlights include a royal wedding cake slice from the marriage of Prince Charles to Camilla on April 9, 2005 (estimate of £500), a slice of cake from the marriage of Prince Andrew to Sarah Ferguson held at Buckingham Palace on July 23, 1986 (estimate of £500).

A slice of royal wedding cake from the marriage of Princess Anne to Captain Mark Phillips on November 14, 1973 (estimate of £300, or about $408).
